Full Time Preschool Teacher for the Early Learning Center

The Early Learning Center is a non-profit ministry of the First United Methodist Church. It is dedicated to providing quality care and education to young children within a Christian environment. It is preferred that the individual has previous experience in a licensed child-care setting.

The Preschool Teacher is responsible for the academic, social-emotional growth and development of all children in his/her care; develops partnerships with parents to engage and encourage parent participation in the program. The Preschool teacher is also responsible for assuring compliance with codes of all State and local governing contracting agencies; and works collegially with other staff members.

Successful candidates will have:

  • A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Bachelor’s preferred
  • Preschool teaching experience
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced level computer skills, internet, and e-mail
  • Knowledge of TS Gold and experience with the Creative Curriculum is a plusFull time position,
