- You have been visiting awhile and are interested in finding out what it means to be a member at FUMC.
- You are already a member, but have been looking for ways to grow and live out your faith.

Frequently Asked Questions
What times are the services?
We have services in the Sanctuary every Sunday morning at 8:30 and 11:00 AM. We also have the America Street Service at 9:45 AM in the Conference Center. During the school year (August-May) we offer a Wednesday evening service at The Gathering at 5:45 PM.
Where do I take my children?
Well, that is entirely up to you! We have a staffed nursery, that you are welcome to use or you can keep your little ones with you in service. We love having our children worship with us and want you to feel comfortable to have them participate in the nursery activities or to stay in worship with you. Children’s bulletins are available at all entrances to the Sanctuary, and activity bags are available at all entrances to the Conference Center.
What should I wear?
Wear what you have. Wear what you are comfortable in. Wear what you want! We are a diverse group of people and we believe that the people in the clothing are what matters most. People who attend our Sanctuary Service typically wear their “Sunday best”, think women in dresses and men in button-down shirts or suits. People attending our America Street Service may also be wearing their “Sunday best,” but you’ll also find people wearing jeans and shorts!
What is available for teenagers?
Sunday mornings the youth meet on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Youth Building for donuts at 9:30 then share classes. Many of the youth then join the 11 o’clock worship services with their families. If you would like more information about activities during the week you can find that on our Youth website.
What about adult classes?
We have many classes and small groups that meet throughout the week and on Sunday mornings. Some of these are short term commitments and others are groups that have been together for years. If you would like to try out a small group or find out more about what is available, you can check our our ministries page or contact Jamye St. Romain at 225-383-4777.
Still have questions? That’s great, we look forward to answering them, and getting to know you better. If there is anything we can do to make your visit to FUMC more relaxing and enjoyable, just let us know!
