Author Parker Palmer once wrote that Christian community is the, “context in which abundance can replace scarcity.” Discover more about the abundance of such community in a Small Group at First!
• All of the groups listed below meet weekly for one hour and launch with a study of the Apprentice Series, by James Bryan Smith.

New Disciple Bible Studies- Fall 2020
The Word of God is Jesus Christ, and the words of the Bible tell us about that Word. Therefore, when we study the words of the Bible we always look behind, in, and through those words for God’s Word – Jesus Christ. All the Disciple studies listed below will begin on August 9 and will meet online using Zoom.

Fall Study: Seeking Justice
As United Methodists, we are committed to challenging unjust systems of power and access. This social justice oriented group will journey together through material and studies aimed learning how to act and stand against injustice “in whatever forms it presents itself.”
- Beginning August 9th on Zoom
- Led by Jennifer Rossnagel
- Sundays at 6:00 PM

Fall Study: Advanced New Testament
The FUMC Advanced New Testament Study is a seven week study of New Testament writings during the persecution of the church. The class will use videos of Dr. Lindsey Pherigo, who was Professor of New Testament at St. Paul’s School of Theology.
