Getting to Know Each Other

We are a community of people helping each other grow in love of God, ourselves and others and we’re passionate about inviting your family to be a part of ours.

OUR MISSION» making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world

OUR STRATEGY» going and finding those seeking God but not connected to the Church, and invite them to know God by following Jesus

OUR MEASURE» Love3: people are growing in their love of God, themselves and others (it’s how we’ll know we’re achieving our mission)

What does this mean for you? Most importantly, you’re always welcome at First Methodist. We’re saving a seat for you. Wherever you’re at in your faith journey, you’ll always be accepted as part of the First Methodist family. Below you will find information about our online and in-person Sunday worship services and Sunday School.

Here Are Some Details About Sundays at First

Traditional Worship Services
8:30 & 11:00 AM in the Sanctuary

Our more traditional worship experience is where we sing United Methodist hymns with our choir and new pipe organ. This service often features guest musicians and Holy Communion is served the first Sunday of every month. The service lasts approximately one hour and meets in our newly renovated sanctuary.

The America Street Service
9:45 AM | Currently being held in the gym

Contemporary service in a more casual setting. The culture of this service is relaxed. This service features the America Street Band leading songs of praise- song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. The service lasts approximately one hour and meets at 9:45 AM in our gymnasium. Holy Communion is served on the first Sunday of every month.

We have three parking lots on our campus.

This is our largest parking lot and it has visitor spots reserved just for you! It’s located on America St and has entrances on East Blvd and Maximillian St, too. From the parking lot, you can enter our building through the America St entrance, which takes you directly to our Information Station and Children’s Check-in!

The larger of our two parking lots on East Blvd, this lot is the shortest distance away from our ADA Entrance. Through our new ADA Elevator, you can access the sanctuary level, from the street level without encountering any stairs!

There is additional parking available in the lots under the I-110 overpass and also in the Post Office Parking Lot across the street from the front of the sanctuary.

We love and encourage children to attend service with their parents. We also understand if you need “grown-up” time during worship.

Nursery is available during all Sunday morning services for ages 6 weeks- Kindergarten.

Sunday School for all ages meets from 9:45-10:40 AM

On Sunday morning, make your way to the Children’s Check-in Desk located in the Conference Center near the America Street entrance lobby. Our team will need a few minutes to register your child or youth for nursery or Sunday School and get them started on a great Sunday experience. Or you can speed up the check-in process by registering your child ahead of time using the button below.
