Are you involved in care giving? Do you work in a caring profession such as home healthcare, first response, teaching, lay ministry or social work? If so, we invite you to join us for a day retreat to examine care giving as a shared life of prayer with God. Highlights include prayers of petition that invite introspection of our own needs; prayers of intercession that join others through empathy; and finally, prayers of lament that bend our anguish into ardent supplication to God. Exploration Retreat
Thursday, April 4 — Sunday, April 7
Wesley Center

Wesley scholar and teacher Paul Chilcote provides a full and clear introduction to the dynamic faith of John and Charles Wesley. The vital theology of John is skillfully gleaned from his voluminous writings. The corresponding faith of Charles is culled from his enduring hymns. For students and general readers this book illuminates the vital balance the Wesleys found in Christian teaching that brings together faith and works, Word and Spirit, the personal and the social, the head and the heart, mission and service. Cost: $300.

In preparation for this symposium, join the Trinity Sunday school class in a study of Recapturing The Wesleys’ Vision, by Dr. Paul Chilcote beginning January 6. Trinity Class meets on Sunday mornings at 9:45 AM in Room 305.
