The Advent and Christmas seasons include music as an integral part of the experience. Music celebrating the Nativity— from the earliest Gregorian chant to the Christmas music of present-day composers—conveys a spirit of adoration and wonder. From the first Christmas celebrated at First United Methodist Church at North Boulevard in 1926, the walls, pews, and almost century-old stained glass windows have heard carols resonating with the message of joy, peace, and goodwill. I pray this service of music and readings is a blessing to you. Even during this pandemic, we should add our voices with previous generations, singing, “Gloria, in excelsis Deo!” ~Lamar Drummonds Director of Music and Worship
