As is often the case, John packs a lot into a few verses. This is evident in our scripture reading today, which comes from John 12:20-33. But in the middle of this reading, we find John’s version of Jesus’ “Gethsemane” prayer. Jesus is aware that his death is imminent. He is struggling with what is to come. Part of him wants to pray for God to deliver him. Part of him wants to honor God and do what God has called him to do. What can this moment in Jesus’ life teach us about our relationship with God? What can it teach us about how we should pray? Join us as we take a look at “The Other Jesus Prayer.”
