Help us offer a warm welcome to our guests by serving with our Welcoming Ministry Team, which provides a wonderful atmosphere for the worship experience.  We are always looking for smiling faces to serve in a variety of roles – both before and during worship times or at special church events.

Greeting Team:

• Outside Door Greeter: Serve outside welcoming guests to FUMC by opening doors and greeting them with a smile! Serving time is 35 minutes before service starts until all guests are in, and then at the end of service going back to the doors until guests have departed.  Dress for weather, this is an outside role.
• Indoor Narthex Greeter: Serve as a helpful and friendly face by greeting people and giving directions in the Narthex.  Serving time is 35 minutes before service starts until all guests are in, and then at the end of service going back to your station until guests have departed.
• Parking Lot Greeter: Be the first smile to welcome our guests to FUMC! Assist with wheelchairs and guest drop-offs. Serve outside before service – total serving time is approximately 35 minutes.  dress for weather, this is an outside role.
• Online Ministry Host: Be the first to virtually smile to welcome our guests to FUMC’s Online Worship! Provide a warm and interactive online worship experience for our guests and members.  Total serving time is approximately 35 minutes.  You would start 5 minutes before online worship service begins.

Special Events Hosts:

If you enjoy welcoming and helping others in an active environment, we need your warmth and enthusiasm at our special events! It’s all about offering a caring smile, a sense of welcome and hospitality to those who walk through the church doors.  Begins 35 minutes before the event starts and lasts up to 2 hours, depending upon the event.

Ushers:

Serve during worship services welcoming guests into the worship space and assisting guests in finding seats.

Cafe 930 Hosts:

Assists those who visit the coffee station and monitor inventory.
